Three Corporate Teams for “Laufen mit Herz”

Our running teams

Nine corporate runners and another school team sponsored by ELECTRONICON for this year’s charity event

Nine employees of ELECTRONICON Gera have formed teams for the charity event „Laufen mit Herz“ (“Running with compassion”) on 21st September 2011 in Gera’s Friendship Stadium. The three teams are being sponsored by the company itself which, in addition, is sponsoring another team of kids from the Theodor Liebe High School.
For Frank Barth, ELECTRONICON’s human resources manager, the help for cancer-struck children or teenagers and their families is the main motive behind ELECTRONICON’s participation: „We want to demonstrate that, as an enterprise of this region, we support our region.“ The company with its more than 450 employees and three production sites in Gera is one of the largest employers of the area.
„This is another example showing the commitment of Gera’s industry for a good cause, and it is not for the first time that ELECTRONICON has sent in several teams”, adds Yves Boehme who heads the Gera branch of DAK Health Insurance. It would be good to see such examples happen more often. The members of the three company teams are coming from various departments. In the eyes of HR manager Barth, this is a major advantage: „By participation in the event, team spirit is promoted which has positive effects on daily work.” Hence „Laufen mit Herz“ helps for three purposes: sick persons are supported, the runners from participating companies contribute to a positive working atmosphere, and they are actively nurturing their health when running. And these are exactly the effects intended by the promoters of the event, Zabel-High School and DAK Gera.
