As part of the "GREEN INVEST" funding program, we are modernizing almost the entire lighting in production, offices and other areas of our three production sites from halogen, fluorescent or gas discharge lamps to LED lighting.
Not only are the lamps replaced, but the fittings themselves are re-newed as well. This serves to reduce energy consumption as well as improve working conditions through, e.g. by brighter, flicker-free light. The calculated saving amounts to 277,000 kWh/year, which corresponds to a 57% reduction in previous consumption.
The project is funded by the Free State of Thuringia and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
